A cask-strength, 18-year-old and single-cask rum from the closed Caroni distillery in Trinidad. Distilled in 1998 with only 245 bottles were released as part of Hunter Laing’s Kill Devil series of single casks.
TASTING NOTES
Nose
Stewed tropical fruits, a note of mince pies with cinnamon and a touch of milk chocolate.
Palate
The chocolate becomes darker, with aromatic wafts of smoke and toasty oak. Juicy raisins, papaya and mango blend with buttery vanilla, marzipan and crushed almond.
Finish
Medium length with sweet oak and honeyed cereal.
